Beef and Cheese Pockets

This was the first time the group had ever made this recipe. Everyone was drooling over them as they came out of the oven!
Beef and Cheese Pockets (Makes 8)
from "30 Day Gourmet"

2 packages of refrigerator crescent rolls.

1/2 pound deli roast beef

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

2 eggs

~Preheat oven to 375*

~On Cookie sheets, separate one package Crescent dough into triangles.

~Place shredded beef and shredded cheddar cheese onto each triangle. (use your own judgement in filling them. You don't want them to be to full.)

~Top each triangle with another triangle and seal edges.

~Beat eggs and brush onto top of triangles.

~Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.

~Let cool and then place crescents into a freezer bag and seal.

To Serve: Remove from freezer. Place on microwave for 2-4 minutes or until warm. You could also heat them in the oven on 300* for 10 minutes.

An answer to Simply Heart and Home: If you want them to get that "crispness" again, I would throw them in the oven :o)

Oh man, if these don't sound yummy, I don't know what does! I have yet to see crescent rolls here in Singapore, but the minute I do, I'm going to be testing this recipe out.

I am so excited about this new site! Great idea.

Oh. . . can you tell us where you are finding these recipes? You seem to have a bunch of really great resources and I'd love to add them to my list, too.

By the way, it's a good thing you didn't post a picture to go with that recipe, I or may have had to fly back to CA to find myself some crescent rolls! Haha

Thank you for answering my question! :) Crispy sounds good.

Would you serve this as an appetizer or alongside perhaps a soup? I suppose you could do either one! Either way, sounds delicious!
