Introduction

Well, I am back in the blogging world. I guess I really just needed to find a niche and go with it. So my niche is "Filling My Freezer". I love freezer cooking. I don't really know why I like it so much, I just do.

I started freezer cooking almost 3 years ago. I had heard of "Once a Month Cooking", but the thought of lots of casseroles and repeat meals all month never appealed to me. Then I found the book, "Don't Panic, Dinner's in the Freezer" by and that changed my life. The idea of the books was to find some friends that you would like to hang out with and make freezer meals together. Easy enough and it sounded like fun. I talked my mom, sister and cousin into joining my new adventure. We all had so much fun that we kept doing it every month. Then we would tell people about it and they would want to join as well. I ended up, at one point in time, having 15 people in my little kitchen making freezer meals!

My adventure eventually landed me a call from Rachel Ray's producer of her talk show and a story in our local newspaper. We never did make it on to RR's show, but we had a blast making our video for her. You never know, she could still change her mind and want us to be on the show :o)

I decided to start this blog to have a place to chat about our once a month "Cooking Day" and to write down all of the recipes that we use. People are always asking for my recipes and I am more than willing to give them out.

My plan is to post 1 or two recipes a week, maybe more if I have time. I will also post about messes and successes that I have encountered while cooking. I will probably, from time to time, post pics of my adorable children as well because I like to show them off!

So sit back and relax and enjoy the show. Oh, and hey, if you ever have questions or comments about any of the recipes or tips I share let me know, I am here to live and learn!

One more thing, I am by no means a writer of any type. So you will often find typos and sentences that make no sense whatever. I am a red-head, need I say more? Feel free to laugh at my mistakes and poke fun at me. I have a big sister and am use to it :o)

Have fun Cooking~

Why did I write And? Well, more to the point why didn't I delete it? Oh well, I'm a brunette going gray - that's my excuse...

Are you willing to share ALL of your recipes??? :) Not to worry; my children who have such refined tastes recently informed me that they really only like Kraft Mac & Cheese! So, I won't be bugging you for the recipe!

So very glad to see that you're blogging again! I've missed your voice coming over the internet.

Woo hoo!! Howie's gal is back in action. I am looking forward to your recipes. I loved being part of the cooking club and if you ever start a branch here in Singapore, I'd join! But, first, you'd have to get me a freezer that's bigger bread box.

Woohoo! You're back! I can't wait to read all about it! I love having things ready to just pull out of the freezer, but I usually resort to just buying things pre-made at the store for that.

Welcome back! I'm visiting from Copper's Wife's site and am looking forward to reading your blog as well.
I've done some minor freezer cooking in the past but I'm sure I'd save a lot more on our grocery budget if I'd do more.
I'll be bookmarking your blog and will be back to visit again soon!
Blessings,
Michelle

So excited to have found your blog (I found it through Copperswife's blog) I have been freezer cooking for about 25 years now (started in my mom's kitchen when I was a teenager), and it has been a God-send. I have taught classes in our church, and have done freezer meal co-ops with a few different friends. I LOVE freezer cooking! Can't wait to get more recipes from you, and get to know you better through your blog. I THINK I saw on your profile that you are in CA, so am I. Central San Joaquin Valley, between Fresno and Bakersfield. Would love to have you visit my blog and get to know you better :)

Blessings!
